1.1.Geographic
Location
Malaysia is located in Southeast
Asia, between the Pacific Ocean and the India Ocean. The country is separated
by the South China Sea into two regions, West Malaysia region and East Malaysia
region. West Malaysia, also known as Peninsula Malaysia, lies on the south of
Malay Peninsula and shares a land border with Thailand in the north, the Strait
of Malacca in the west and the South China Sea in the east. East Malaysia
consists of Sarawak region and Sabah region. East Malaysia is located on the
north of Kalimantan Island with a coastline nearly 4,192 kilometers long. The
location of this project is about 60km away from Bintulu, Sarawak of Malaysia.
1.2.Climate Characters
Malaysia is located near the equator,
and has a tropical rainforest climate without distinct seasons. The temperature
change is extremely small through the year and the average temperature is 26-30
℃. Rainfall is heavy and rainy season is
on October-December.
